Create an account:
All students will be required to submit their course requests online for the 2010-2011 school year, and they will all create accounts. By creating an account on the Stanton website, students will be able to retrieve their submissions in order to edit, update, and keep all information current. Many other forms and procedures are being developed that will be accessible to registered users, so it is to your advantage to create an account as soon as possible.
The Course Catalog that contains course descriptions, course credit values, course weighting, prerequisites, and important information on program sequences, requirements for the Florida Bright Futures, and other valuable information, is online. Click here to view the Course Catalog.
The account creation process is rather easy:
1. From the home page of www.stantoncollegeprep.org, at the top of the left panel, under “User Login,” choose “Create new account”
2. You will be asked to create a username and provide a valid email address.
3. Shortly, you will receive an email that has your username and a temporary password. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS IN THAT EMAIL. The instructions in this email contain a link for a short online form that asks a few questions to identify you. Your account will be suspended if this form is not completed within a week of account activation.
Read all of the directions that pertain to all students as well as those that pertain to your grade level.Discuss your course choices and other options with your parents.Your course requests must equal 7 credits, so if you choose ½ credit courses, be certain the total of credits is 7 credits.

- AP Calculus AB is the recommended course in this sequence, especially if you are considering a career in Engineering, Architecture, Medicine, Science or Math related fields. If you wish to take AP Calculus AB, you should have earned at least a B in Pre-Calculus and at least a 60 on the PSAT math. AP Statistics is an option if you are not yet ready for AP Calculus AB. If you have completed Pre Calculus and choose AP Statistics, you will take AP Calculus AB in 12th grade.
- 12th grade, AP Calculus BC
- IB students taking AP Calculus BC in 12th grade should also take AP Statistics.
World Language
The graduation requirement is 2 high school credits taken in middle or high school from 2007-08 or thereafter which include consecutive courses in the same language. Make your choice in the World Language section of the online registration form. If you’ve already completed the first level of a foreign language, then you should choose level 2. If you took the first level in middle school and wish to proceed to the second level, you must take level 2 followed by level 3 the next year. If you’ve taken level one in high school, the only requirement is to take level 2, but you are encouraged to go further in your studies of foreign language as foreign language is a highly recommended academic elective for college preparation.
