It’s senior week! All seniors should come dressed according to each day’s theme. Today is “career day”. Tomorrow is tacky/nerd day. Wednesday’s theme is “going green”. Thursday, seniors should come dressed as either a cowboy or Indian, and Friday is 80’s day.
Seniors interested in speaking at graduation, forms are available in 702. The deadline for returning those in is next Wednesday. Auditions will follow.

Financial Aid Information Night - January 14, 2010
There will be regional Financial Aid Information Nights around the county during the next few weeks. Important information will be covered regarding completion of the FAFSA, the form that seniors must complete to be eligible for need based financial aid. This night can be important for all grades for future planning, so all students and parents, grades 9-12 are welcome. Stanton's will be held on January 14, 7:00 pm, in the auditorium.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is and Early Dismissal Wednesday and no after school activities will take place without prior approval from Dr. Hayward.

Our boys and girls varsity basketball teams travel to Nease tonight for the first of three games this week. Girls play at 6 and the boys’ game starts at 7:30.

Shout out to our basketball team---both Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys play at home tonight against Andrew Jackson. They also play Friday against Ribault. This is a home game as well, and the guys would like to see all of you in the stands.
The Stanton Band will be having their annual Christmas concert this evening at 7:00 in the Stanton auditorium. Admission will be $5 for anyone over the age of 12. The band hopes that you'll be able to make it out to enjoy this event.

The Lady Steppers competed Saturday at Terry Parker and came home with the second place trophy.
The Varsity Cheerleaders had their competition at University Christian this weekend and came in first place! Congrats!
Tomorrow is the fall sports banquet in the auditorium after school. If you participated on a Stanton sports team this season, you are invited to attend.

The IB pinning ceremony is tonight at 7:00pm at the UNF Lazzara Theatre. It is mandatory for juniors to attend the pinning ceremony and seniors are highly encouraged to attend. If you are working at the ceremony, Mr. Hemphill has asked that you show up by 6:15pm.
