Stanton Parent Teacher Student Association

PTSA (Parent/Teacher/Student Association)
I am pleased to announce that Stanton College Prep's PTSA was named 2008 PTSA of the Year for the second year in a row! I hope that you as a parent, teacher, student, or grandparent will join us in 2008-2009 as we again pursue activities that will help support Stanton. There are many ways to get involved in PTSA from merely joining, to volunteering your time, or donating your money to assist with our campus beautification project or other projects throughout the year. I hope each of you will become involved in some way this year to help give back to the school which excels in so many ways. Depending on the ranking, Stanton is consistently in the top 5 schools in the nation and our IB program is one of the best in the world. NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT, WE ARE CERTAINLY BLESSED TO ATTEND ONE OF THE BEST FREE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE WORLD!!!
Sincerely,
Eugenia McCall
PTSA President

MEMBERSHIP
$5 per membership gives each member access to the PTSA E-News. It is a great way to know what is going on even when your student forgets to tell you. (Click here for membership form)

VOLUNTEERING (click here for volunteer opportunities)

FUND RAISING
Although many PTSA's have school wide fund raising projects selling magazines, candy, or wrapping paper. Stanton does not. We simply ask that you make a contribution at whatever level you can afford. That way all of the money goes directly to Stanton PTSA and our students do not have to spend their time out making sales to everyone in the neighborhood. Your support at whatever level is truly appreciated. (Click here for donation form)

CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT
During the past year, Stanton PTSA has been working vigorously to improve the courtyard by the auditorium. Many new benches and tables have already been installed and pavers have replaced the dirt and tree roots. Beds have been spruced up and this space is now a popular gathering place for our students. This year Stanton has been awarded a grant from the American Dermatology Assoc. to install shade structures in the courtyard area. Our courtyard project will continue again this year as we expand and improve this area. You can help by donating your time or talent at a work day or by purchasing an engraved paver ($35).
